In the wake of the tragedy in Haiti, The Gay Blades wanted to do something to help, and while they might not have a lot of money to give, They thought it might be a nice sentiment to try and tell someone's story. But in trying to write about this tragedy, The Gay Blades found it difficult to express concern without it sounding like an ethnocentric, "white man's burden" shit hole ballad a la' "Do They Know its Christmas Time?". Let's be honest, The Gay Blades don't know anyone in Haiti, nor ever been there. All they really knew was a lot of people were affected to unimaginable lengths.
